Wow, what a 24 months it's been. When the site first went live in September 2016, we could hardly have imagined the impact that we would have just be selling beautiful British homewares, the goodwill coming our way and the lovely positive feedback that we get from so many. 

It can be hard to find the time to sit back and take stock when you're running an organisation like Aerende – one that continues to hurtle forward, constantly building on its own momentum. So, rather than creating a naval-gazing blog that could go on for days, we thought it would be fun to try and capture these two years in some important numbers.

£13,210 - amount of revenue raised directly for our partner maker organisations.

36 - number of new products added to the site since launch (almost every one designed exclusively for us).

200 - number of tea towels made on our refugee sewing programme (RIP) and now in use at Petersham Nurseries.

8 - number of wholesale stockist enquiries we've been unable to fulfil. Working on this for 2019. 

1,965 - number of items ordered, each one individually wrapped and stamped by hand. 

14 - number of creative therapy maker organisations we now partner with. 

37 - number of broken items (this looks worse due to one incoming box of broken goods but we're still working on how to use minimal packaging while ensuring safe passage).

2 - number of ethical wedding lists fulfilled. We're excited to do more next year.

13 - number of roles of eco packaging tape used. But we think it's pretty lucky.

17,520 - number of trading hours. Yup, that's all day every day. 

728 - number of days when Aerende is the first and last thing on my brain. Yup, that's every day (apart from Christmas).

INFINITY - amount we appreciate our makers, customers and supporters. There are so many people who have been involved in this journey and who have helped Aerende thrive. We are so grateful to those of you who have given time, advice, money and support, those who have written about us, shared our message and told others about our mission. But of course, Aerende would be nothing without the makers, and the organisations that support them, whose talents and enthusiasm (often in the face of adversity and practical obstacles) show few bounds and whose skill we look forward to celebrating for many years to come.
