Our handmade gilded pinch pots come in lovely organic forms. Each one is totally unique and formed via a calming circular process of pinching and smoothing before a double firing process followed by careful painting of the gold rim which contrasts with the earthy tones of the speckled clay. Each set includes one speckled white and one speckled beige dish and can be used in multiple ways – holding tealight candles (the gold catches the light beautifully and makes for subtle shine), trinkets or salt and pepper). They come in a set of two in a presentation box with information about Aerende and featuring the name of the maker.
Each pinch pot is made by members of the team at This Is Jolt, which supports people with mental health challenges to learn new skills and socialise without fear or shame (see our Makers page for more details).
Due to the handmade nature of these items, there is quite a bit of natural variation in colour or shape of these pots. Images depict the item as accurately as possible but heights may vary slightly and the patterns reflect a wabi-sabi approach to design – in which there is beauty in imperfection.
